SentRules Terms of Use

Effective August 19, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of SentRules, an Outlook add-in and hosted service for automatically filing sent-message copies, managing filing rules, and previewing or moving existing Sent Items when you explicitly run cleanup. By using SentRules, you agree to these terms.

Your account and rules

You are responsible for the Microsoft account you connect, the recipients and content of messages you send, the filing rules you create, the Outlook folders you select, and cleanup actions you approve. SentRules is designed not to guess when enabled rules resolve to different destinations; when a safe unique destination cannot be determined, the intended behavior is to leave the sent copy in Sent Items.

Normal Outlook Send

SentRules' primary workflow does not replace Outlook's ordinary Send action. Outlook sends the message and creates the sent copy; SentRules then evaluates the confirmed sent copy against your saved rules and moves it when a safe match exists.

Microsoft and third-party services

SentRules depends on Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft identity services, and, when paid billing is enabled, Stripe. Availability, policy changes, outages, permission changes, or other behavior of those services can affect SentRules.

Paid access

Some SentRules functionality may require a paid SentRules subscription or license. The price, billing interval, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation options applicable to your purchase are shown before checkout. Payment processing is handled by Stripe when that billing method is offered. If a paid plan renews automatically, it continues until canceled through the available billing controls, subject to the terms shown at purchase.

Acceptable use

You may not use SentRules to send or organize unlawful content, gain unauthorized access to another person's mailbox, evade Microsoft security or platform policies, interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected service components except where applicable law permits it, or use the service in a way that materially harms other users or infrastructure.

Service changes and availability

SentRules may be updated to maintain compatibility, security, reliability, or product functionality. No software or online service can guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. SentRules may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third-party systems.

Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SentRules is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or fitness for a particular purpose. This section does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SentRules will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using SentRules at any time. Disconnecting Microsoft stops the active mailbox connection for that SentRules client. Paid access remains subject to the cancellation and billing terms shown at purchase. SentRules may terminate or suspend access for material misuse, fraud, security risk, or violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
